i need help. heavens to betsy i am in love with pinterest. it took me a while to get on board and i can'thelp but ask myself, "why?"... why would i choose to deprive myself of such creative goodness for such a long time? it is so unlike me to deprive myself of anything good, i tell you what. but, here we are.
i adore the category of "women's apparel". oh for the love. many of my favorite pins are from polyvore, yet another delectable website created for those of us who want to be fashionistas but need a little guidance. or a lot. either way, you can create your own ensembles with thousands of items to choose from. it's a virtual closet of happiness, i tell you! makes my heart warm just thinking about it.
i've had a minor (okay, major) love of clothes since i can remember. which, for me, goes way back to the 80's. i always had a closet busting full of clothes. always. no matter if i was in high school or a poor college student. clothing somehow always managed to make it's way into my closet.
*sigh*
a full closet makes me all fuzzy inside. now, why is it then, that i always end up wearing the same thing? oh the unfairness of it all. enter pinterest. oh, pinterest, you sly fox, you. i can easily browse your delicious pins through my (other obsession) iphone and voila, outfit inspiration. of course, there are about a kajillion other items to inspire me as well, whether it be food, crafts, funny funnies (some are not censored, so, be advised...) and pretty much anything and everything else you could possibly hope to find. need to learn how to restore a thrift store dresser? done. want to make your own version of "febreeze"? done. want to take an old sweatshirt of your husbands and make it new & fabulous for yourself? done. twice. seriously, this place is heaven. my best choice for a true time sucker.
i've barely mentioned the food. there is far too much food on pinterest. i wouldn't recommend browsing on an empty stomach. you'll thank me for this. i've made some serious yumminess from pinterest recipes (i have a board devoted only to food, entitled, precisely, "yum").
already on board? of course you are. you are way more ahead of the trend than i am.
